Marcus was formerly Director of Tax and Treasurer for Flextronics
International Ltd., a $2 billion US publicly traded global
electronics contract manufacturer (presently a Fortune 500), with 50
foreign subsidiaries operating in Europe, Asia and the Americas. While
there, Marcus applied his knowledge of international tax and foreign
restructuring to lower the firm's global tax rate by 50%, from a 26% effective tax rate to 12%.
Marcus began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen
and Coopers & Lybrand, and corporate tax management career with Warner Bros., Inc. He was also Vice President of Finance & CFO for GoTrade.com, Inc., a middle-market Internet-based stock trading firm for China (now an AIG company), and President and CEO of Omnus BrillianTek, Inc., a twenty-five person Information Technology consulting firm.
With more than 15 years of combined public
accounting and industry experience, he can assist middle market
companies to identify and implement methods to minimize the tax
impact of their overseas operations, as they expand into new foreign
markets. He also works with many export companies, helping them
attain special US income tax subsidies on export goods.
