Ariel Cretu, CPA in Hood & Strong's San Jose office has been named Co-Chairperson for the Emerging Professionals Committee of CalCPA Silicon Valley San Jose Chapter.
The Emerging Professionals Committee was formed as a focus group of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. The committee focuses on assisting students and young professionals stay informed about events and developments surrounding the profession. Various social and educational events are planned throughout the year to address areas such as CPA certification, networking with peers, and career management. The annual Young and Emerging Professionals conference in San Francisco brings together students and professionals to enjoy nationally renowned speakers and presentations on topics such as leadership, presentation skills, technology and the global economy.
