Hood & Strong LLP, a leading Bay Area accounting and business consulting firm, today announced that Jerry Zhou has been promoted to an assurance and advisory director for the firm.
Zhou joined Hood & Strong in 2004 and has served as an assurance and advisory manager. In his role, he is responsible for planning and managing the execution of financial statement audits, attest and consulting services. His clients consist of middle-market companies nationwide, including ventured-backed, family-owned or private investments. Additionally, he has extended experience working with a variety of nonprofit organizations.
Prior to joining Hood & Strong, Zhou worked in the private industry at a publicly traded company. He serves as treasurer and board member for Oakes Children Center, a nonprofit committed to providing educational and therapeutic services to children with emotional disturbance and developmental delays. He holds a BA in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Zhou’s promotion comes just months before Hood & Strong celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2017. The move will help address the firm’s focus on strengthening leadership for continued success in the next century.
“In his 12 years with the firm, Jerry has been instrumental in the expansion of the due diligence practice, working with buyers to assess the profitability and business risks of potential transactions, and serving companies after transactions are completed,” said Robert Raffo, Hood & Strong managing partner. “His experience and skills will add tremendous value to our leadership team.”
