Upcoming Nonprofit Tax Webinars
We’re hosting a summer – fall webinar series, and there’s still time to sign up for the ones we have left:
This year marks our 100th year in business! It’s a milestone that makes us very proud of remaining fiercely independent, while serving a loyal group of clients, some of whom have been with us for nearly a century. While we’ve always had our headquarters in San Francisco, over the years we’ve expanded to the Peninsula, San Jose, and now the North Bay as well. We’ve kept pace with our clients’ needs for convenience, access, and the latest interpretations of accounting and financial rules, while never forgetting what got us here: loyalty to employees, clients and community.
To celebrate, we hosted a party at the Italian Athletic Club, also a 100-year-old enterprise, for other local centenarian companies, along with clients, colleagues, and community leaders. It was a huge success! Additionally, our employees are organizing a variety of other celebration activities as well as leading a campaign to deliver “100 Acts of Kindness” to Bay Area nonprofits.
100 Acts of Kindness
In 1917, Walter Hood & Addison Strong opened an accounting firm to serve the needs of growing San Francisco businesses and individuals. One hundred years later, we are extremely proud of our legacy of success as a strong, independent firm and our commitment to our clients and our community.
One thing that hasn’t changed over the past 100 years is the firm’s focus on philanthropy and giving back to others. To further honor the firm’s legacy, Hood & Strong staff initiated a year-long “100 Acts of Kindness” program, which coordinates philanthropic activities throughout the year to help the underserved. The initiative kicked off in January 2017 with a food drive for the San Francisco Food Bank, and has continued with other acts of kindness throughout the year, including clothing and book drives.
On November 2, 2017 we will be hosting a party in San Francisco to celebrate our alumni family and recognize the many contributions that they have made to our 100-year legacy. Click here to register.
