Land acknowledgment.

Our affirmation

Recognition and respect.

Indigenous Peoples have called the San Francisco Bay Area home for more than 10,000 years, sustainably managing the lands that now host our four Bay Area offices and the communities where many of our team members live and work. The following Land Acknowledgment recognizes and respects Indigenous Peoples as traditional stewards of this land and honors the enduring influence of Indigenous communities. We affirm Hood & Strong’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and our respect for all individuals and their histories and contributions.

With four offices throughout the Bay Area, Hood & Strong acknowledges that we are located within the occupied territories and unceded ancestral homelands of the Ramaytush Ohlone, Coastal Miwok, and Ohlone and Muwekma Ohlone people.

Indigenous communities have lived in and moved through this land over hundreds of generations and Indigenous Peoples from many nations make their home in this region today. As uninvited guests, we recognize that we benefit from living and working on their traditional homeland. We wish to pay our respects to all of the Ancestors, Elders and Relatives and affirm their sovereign rights as First Peoples.
